“I'm an engineer who became a physics teacher, and I did my Oxford master's on why capable students underachieve in science. Marking GCSE Physics for AQA showed me the same thing again and again: marks went not because students didn't know the science, but because their answers didn't say what the mark scheme needed.

That's fixable. I teach your child to write those answers in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, live, six times a week. Past students have gone on to London Academy of Excellence, Newham Collegiate and Brampton Manor, three highly selective state sixth forms in London.”

Mocks coming up?

Same science. 1 mark becomes 3.

Question (3 marks): A student measured the specific heat capacity of a metal block. Their value was higher than the true value. Explain why.

Before

Heat was lost to the surroundings. ✓ +1

“Good start. Now say what that did to the temperature rise, then link it to c.”

Written the examiner's way

Energy was transferred to the surroundings ✓, so the temperature rise was smaller ✓. With the same energy and a smaller Δθ, c = ΔE ÷ (m Δθ) comes out too high ✓.

An example answer to show the method. Original G&V question in the AQA style.

How it works

Find the marks. Win them back.

Marked, reported and taught live, every week.

Your child sits a mock. It's marked in seconds.

Mocks run from 25 minutes to a full paper, in an on-screen exam room with a timer, calculator and equation sheet. Your child sees which words earned each mark and what was missing.

Why AI marking? So feedback comes in seconds, any night. The AI marks against Mr Azad's mark schemes using AQA's rules, longer answers are marked twice, and Mr Azad checks any mark your child challenges.

You get the report, straight to your inbox.

After every mock: the estimated grade, how many marks to the next grade, marks by topic, and where the next marks are.

Where the next marks are (same example report)
  1. Series and parallel circuits3 marks to gain
  2. Specific latent heat2 marks to gain

Strengths: specific heat capacity, half-lives.

Grades are estimated from AQA's June 2025 grade boundaries applied to one paper. Treat them as a guide, not an AQA result.

From Sam's mock report: estimated grade 7, a very strong result, target grade 8; 2 more marks would have reached grade 8.
From the real parent report (example student). The full report also shows marks by topic.

Mr Azad teaches the fix, live.

Six live Zoom lessons a week from Tuesday 3 November: two in each science, covering the content and the exam technique that earns the marks.

Questions go privately to Mr Azad in the chat, cameras can stay off, and every lesson is recorded. How one class works for a grade 4 and a grade 9.

Your child's week (UK time)

  • Tue & Wed5:30, 6:30 and 7:30pm, 45 minutes each. Two lessons a week in each science; we'll confirm which science is in each slot before the first lesson.
  • Thu 8:30pmAsk Sir: your child posts a question in the app, gets an instant AI answer, and Mr Azad answers the most-asked ones live.
  • Can't make it?The recording usually follows within 24 hours.

Between lessons

Prof G, the AI tutor, for 9pm questions.

Set up by Mr Azad to explain things the way he teaches. Prof G draws it on a whiteboard, step by step, then checks with a quick quiz. Prof G is AI and can get things wrong, so every answer has an “Ask Sir to check” button. Up to 60 questions a day for members, 25 on the trial. Chats are saved and safety-checked.

What else is included, and what's ready now 28 virtual labs, 2,150 questions, short lessons. Physics and Chemistry Paper 2 lessons arrive mid-November.
All 28 required practicalsVirtual labs: 10 Physics, 8 Chemistry, 10 Biology. Practice for the exam questions, not a replacement for school.
2,150 exam-style questionsAll written for G&V in the style of AQA papers. No copied past papers.
Short lessons, topic by topicReady now for every Paper 1 and Biology Paper 2. Physics and Chemistry Paper 2 from mid-November.

What's ready

  • Now: lessons for Physics, Chemistry and Biology Paper 1 and Biology Paper 2, all 28 virtual labs, the question bank.
  • Sun 25 Oct, 9am: Prof G, tests and mocks, and Ask Sir open. Tue 3 Nov: live lessons start.
  • Mid-November: Physics and Chemistry Paper 2 lessons. (GCSE science has two papers per subject; schools usually teach Paper 2 topics later.)

Price

Three sciences. Six live lessons a week. £47a month.

£47 a month covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology. One tutor hour a week for one science is about £157 a month.¹ If your child comes to all six lessons, that's about £1.85 a lesson, and the price is the same whether they come to 1 or 6.

  • Your child's written answers marked to AQA's rules, with every lost mark explained.
  • A report to you after every mock, so you always know where the marks are going.
  • The same teacher fixes those gaps live, in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • An AI tutor for evening questions, all 28 required practicals as virtual labs, and a weekly Q&A with Mr Azad.
Compared with a private tutor: the average science tutor on Tutorful charges £36.33 an hour. Once a week, that's about £157 a month for one subject. Here it's £47 for all three, taught live by a former examiner, in a group. Want one-to-one attention as well? See Squads.
Why not a cheaper site? Other sites offer live lessons from about £22 a month.² What £47 adds: one former AQA examiner teaching all three sciences, every mock answer marked to AQA's rules, and a report to you after every mock, which he uses to decide what to teach next.

More questions parents ask

Will this improve my child's grade?

Nobody honest can promise a grade, and we won't. What we can promise: after their first mock you'll get a report showing which topics cost marks and what to do next, and Mr Azad teaches those topics live each week. Try it free and judge for yourself.

How big are the live lessons? Can one class suit a grade 4 and a grade 9?

Everyone joins the same live class, so there's always a place: there's no cap on numbers and no waiting list. It works for every level because each lesson builds up from the basics, with the Higher-only and Triple-only parts clearly marked on screen. A student aiming for a 4 or 5 follows the core and can stop there; a student aiming for a 9 stays for the harder parts.

Every lesson is recorded, so your child can rewatch the bit they missed. Questions go privately to Mr Azad in the chat (nobody else sees them), cameras can stay off, and Prof G fills the gaps between lessons. The mock report shows exactly which marks are within reach, and that's usually where a 4 becomes a 5. If your child wants close personal attention as well, see Squads.

Evening lessons, tired teenagers, and missed lessons

Lessons are 45 minutes. Cameras off and chat-only is completely fine. Can't make it live? The recording usually follows within 24 hours, and your child can pause and rewatch. If we ever need to move a lesson (for example, because of illness), we'll tell you as early as we can and provide a replacement lesson or a recording.

My child has ADHD, dyslexia or autism. Will it suit them?

It's built to be calm and flexible. Lessons have a slower “Supported” pace. There's an easy-read font, read-aloud and a calm mode with no flashing or confetti. Tests follow your child's access arrangements: 25% or 50% extra time, rest breaks, a reader, voice typing and a hidden clock. The free trial is the easiest way to see if it suits them, and you can WhatsApp us with any question first.

What does Mr Azad do himself, and what's AI?

Mr Azad: designs the course and mark schemes, teaches every live lesson and the Thursday Ask Sir session, answers the most-asked questions himself, and checks any mark your child challenges.

AI, working to his rules: Prof G the tutor, marking tests and mocks, and the instant first answer on the Ask Sir board. Prof G can get things wrong, so every answer has an “Ask Sir to check” button. Chats are saved and safety-checked.

Why pay when YouTube and revision sites are free?

Free videos and revision sites are great for learning the content, and lots of our students use them too. What they don't do is mark your child's written answers, show which marks were lost and why, send you a report, or put a former examiner in front of them live twice a week. That's the part that turns knowing it into marks.

How do I cancel? Can I get a refund?

Send us one WhatsApp message on 07588 090708 or an email to hello@gravityandvector.co.uk. We confirm in writing, and if it reaches us before your next payment date, that payment isn't taken. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.

Within 14 days of paying, you get a full refund minus only the live lessons already held: price × lessons held ÷ lessons in the period you paid for. For example, cancel a £47 month after 4 of its 26 lessons and you get £39.77 back. After that, see the terms (for example, if Paper 2 lessons are more than 4 weeks late). The free trial needs no cancelling: it just ends.

Which exam board?

AQA only: GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and Combined Science. If your child sits Edexcel, OCR or another board, this isn't the right fit.

Is it safe? What happens to my child's data?

Mr Azad is enhanced DBS-checked and works with teenagers every day. There's no student-to-student messaging, Ask Sir posts are checked before anyone sees them and shown without names, and Prof G chats are safety-checked. Read our safeguarding policy.

We collect only what we need: your email, your child's first name, course and progress. Prof G never gets contact details, and the AI provider (Anthropic) doesn't train on it. Privacy policy.

Want more of Mr Azad's time?

Squads are small groups (up to 10, or 5) taught by Mr Azad, with marked written work and a weekly report to you. They're separate from the membership. See Squads.
